I'm running Gentoo on a Chaintech ZNF3-150 with onboard Envy24 sound.

I originally installed Gentoo 2004.0 and recently upgraded. The kernel went from 2.6.3 to 2.6.7. OSS version was previously oss3991c for x86_64 and worked ok.

After upgrading I tried it but was unsuccessful, so then downloaded oss3991f but had similar failure, sndshield
compiled fine, but the osslinux module wouldn't load.

soundon.log is as follows:

Quote:
OSS version: 3.99.1f
OSS build: 200408252257
Kernel version: Linux waymoot 2.6.7-gentoo-r14 #6 Sun Aug 29 21:23:28 GMT 2004 x

Some lines snipped...near the end it has:

Any ideas? I've tried turning off IOMMU in the kernel
and pre-emptible was off anyway, but I'm not sure
what else to try.

TIA

Hi,

Thanks for the note. The latest package has been updated - please use ossupdate to get it. We had accidently left out the Terratec Aureon drivers from the build.

best regards
