Yeah. You can try previous revisions of oss_audigyls directory in current mercurial. I'd suggest to revert to rev. 220 and see if it helps. You'd have to rebuild OSS then, of course. When we find the regression, we can fix it on current source...

test oss 4.2 GPL on PCLinuxOS 2010.7 (2.6.33-5 kernel)
all build and install
but sound not in speaker
all symptoms Fedora 13

Heya, I've got a quite similar Problem here: Got an Audigy SE (Audigy LS) in my machine, osstest doesn't give any error messages but I don't have any sound.

Running gentoo ~amd64 and got latest oss from oss-overlay. The funny thing is, that I cannot move the center and rear sliders in ossxmix. And when I try to set them through ossmix, the following happens:

The USB sound device is my onboard sound, which I don't want to use due to really poor sound quality (I can hear my harddisks working and I can even hear every movement of my mouse ;) )

Tbh I didn't quite understand the last thing about trying "previous revisions of oss_audigyls directory". So, if you don't mind, could you please go into detail a little? :wink:

urviech: saf1976 had this working with previous revisions of OSS but the card doesn't work for him anymore... I though if I can find the regression it would help. Unfortunately, old OSS versions don't entirely work with new kernels so we couldn't test. If you'd like to test for this, I suggest temporarily installing an older kernel and using a bootloader to select it (you can use GRUB, SYSLINUX, LILO to switch around kernels without removing the old one), and get an old version of OSS (e.g. get mercurial and go back to 'Added tag' revisions - "hg clone (rep url)", "hg log | grep tag", "hg revert -a --no-backup -r $rev" etc.), build it and then see if it works.
