No sound on Audigy2

Postby Tomservo » Sat May 05, 2007 10:46 pm

Running OSS build 1002 on Solaris Nevada b62 x64 here.

The driver installs, attachs fine (no errors unlike that X-Fi I threw out), the VU meters in ossxmix work when playing sounds via the various devlinks, osstest doesn't make any sounds. Combed through the dmesg logs, nothing in there either. It seems like the device works but has been permamuted.

Is this a known problem?

Thanks.

You need to run osstest under a console session. If you run osstest under JDS, the audio manager holds onto the device.

We have tested Audigy2 and other models and we have no problems at all running apps like XMMS or RealPlayer.

Weird. The same procedure I did under JDS words under the console, the installation that is.

Thanks for the help.
