Solaris 10 Audigy 2 ZS Failure

Postby tmiller4 » Mon Oct 18, 2004 7:50 pm

I recently install Solaris x86 10 Beta 6 along with the oss drivers 3.991H. The drivers installed correctly however when I try any of the soundXXX commands the machine locks up. If I run osstest it reports that there is no /dev/mixer link. prtconf -D outputs the following:

pci1102,2002, instance #1 (driver name: oss)

I am not sure what else to provide, but if you tell me what you need I will provide it as I really want to get this working. :)

Please fill out a support request at http://www.opensound.com/support.cgi

We've tested the Audigy2 ZS under Solaris 10 b63 and on our system
we had to disable acpi (use eeprom acpi-user-options=0x2) and also
you might want to disable apic irqs (add a line to /etc/system: set pcplusmp:apic_forceload=-1)

Now uninstall the OSS drivers using /usr/lib/oss/scripts/uninstall.sh and
get the PCI/ISA combo version and see if that installs and works correctly)
