oss-v1009 on Solaris b75

Postby roman_austria » Tue Nov 06, 2007 12:53 pm

Hi,

it is me again. OSS-v1008 worked so far concerning the
detection of the hardware. But the interaction with the
GNOME audio slider in the taskbar lacks. This were on
Solaris b70 (SXDE 07/09).

This time I tried OSS-v1009 (06. 11. 2007) with Solaris
b75. And there are some issues. I am mainly concerned
about the I/O error below.

OSStest revealed some failures. See log:
Code: Select all
# osstest
Sound subsystem and version: OSS 4.0 (b1009/200711060907) (0x00040003)
Platform: SunOS/i86pc 5.11 snv_75

*** Scanning sound adapter #-1 ***
/dev/oss/hdaudio0/pcm0 (audio engine 0): ATI HD Audio play output
- Performing audio playback test...
  <left> OK <right> OK <stereo> OK <measured>
/dev/oss/hdaudio0/pcm1 (audio engine 1): ATI HD Audio <null> output
- Performing audio playback test...
<left> Device returned error: I/O error
/dev/oss/hdaudio0/pcmin0 (audio engine 2): ATI HD Audio rec input
- Skipping input only device

*** Some errors were detected during the tests ***

Then I was so keen to type the following command to give
you more infos about the system which are maybe of some
help:

Code: Select all
# ossinfo -v1
Version info: OSS 4.0 (b1009/200711060907) (0x00040003)
Platform: SunOS/i86pc 5.11 snv_75 (solar-star)

someone who can state if this is a problem at all.
