Realtek AC 97 not working on solaris 9

I have tried installing the driver after downloading it from realtek's website for Solaris.

Also i have installed the Gstreamer plugin 4.0.

but still my sound card is not working. It is working in my computer when i am working in windows.

When i open my volume controll it gives the message
" No volume Control gstreamer plugin and/or device found.

As i am new to solaris, can anyone help me out.

Does osstest show any errors and is sound heard while the tests are running?

If the gnome volume control does not work, volume can be adjusted using ossxmix (preferred) or ossmix.
