Audigy SE on Solaris10 oss v.4 sampling rate 48 kHz

I have installed Audigy SE PCI and Java App. can't set the sampling
rate above 48 kHz. I suppose it was done because Audigy SE can't playback at 96 kHz.
Is there a way to get around it and still capture audio at 96 kHz.
I am using it for audio scope application.
Any help wouldbe appreciated.

The problem is that the docs aren't clear about how 96Khz can be set for playback and recording although it supports it.
