Solaris SPARC question.

Hello Mr. Mazumdar,

I am running Solaris 10 on an Ultra 10 SPARC computer, and am
wondering is theer a difference between using your company's
product to hear sounds (such as listening to music), instead of the
native Solaris audio drivers? I am just looking to listen to music,
but would like to do so with higher quality, if possible.

Hi,

OSS on Sparc will only support plugin PCI devices. Your Ultra10 has built in sound that should be sufficient for music playback but if you need additional features like equalizers and affects, you should get the SB Audigy/Audigy2 and the OSS drivers.
