OSS 4.1 won't setup correctly on S10-0508

Postby MaxPF » Wed Feb 18, 2009 12:04 am

Here's the output I get when I execute the "ossdetect" command:

rem_drv osscore
unloaded osscommon
add_drv -m '* 0666 root sys' osscore
add_drv -m '* 0666 root sys' -i '"pci1102,2"' oss_sblive
("pci1102,2") already in use as a driver or alias.
add_drv -m '* 0666 root sys' -i '"pci1102,2"' oss_sblive
Installing OSS (oss_sblive) failed

It worked with the previous version of OSS I had installed. There are no remnant drivers etc. from the previous install left in the system, so I do not know what could possibly be commandeering the sblive card... any ideas?

Do you have a different driver (tools.de) installed? If so uninstall them and rbeoot the system and run ossdetect again
