Newbe:Doesn't boot. Solaris 10 x86, (nVidia onboard & EW

Postby graven » Tue Jan 17, 2006 10:51 am

Please help me!!
I have just installed the Solaris 10 x86 and the latest oss drivers.
The configuration went well and so the soundon

The soundon went well and the sndstat looked fine (recognized both my cards an onboard nVidia and a Terratec EWX 24/96).

After the instalation I reboot and the system doesn't start. It says that it needs something to run, I don't really understud.

P.S This was the second installation with the same problem
P.S2 For the reboot I used reboot -- -r

You should run soundon after the machine reboots.

If you're on Solaris 10 i'd recommend that you get the new 4.0 version
from http://www.opensound.com/test directory.

Unisntall the current version by typing /usr/lib/oss/scripts/uninstall.sh and reboot and then isntall the new version by typing pkgadd -d <filename>
