how do you get it unlocked from the memory??

you need to wait 120 seconds before the core unlocks. The device is locked in memory because during bootup Solaris unloads all unused modules. This causes problems for OSS so we force the device to be unloadable for 120 seconds.

Dev it doesnt .I have rebooted my machine 10 times and i have waited 5 minutes between each boot.It still sits there Here is the info;

You need to run /usr/lib/oss/bin/soundon command to start the drivers.


Alternatively look at the upcoming v4.0 version of OSS at
http://www.opensound.test - you need to uninstall the current version by typing /usr/lib/oss/scripts/uninstall.sh.

THe new version is a pkg install format.
