i had the same problem, on linux, though.

i solved it by manually setting *_digital_din to 0 in /usr/lib/oss/conf/sblive.conf

after that sound worked for me and now it even works with the default-settings. i guess ALSA left some stuff on the card or something like that.

chedder: This card is detected as an audigy card, so the parameter would be "audigy_digital_din" (in file /usr/lib/oss/conf/oss_sblive.conf). Anyway, you'll have to use newest 4.1 version from repo/tarball, since 4.0 versions on FreeBSD don't support module parameters while 4.1 does.
