2nd edit: I also saw in Kinfocenter that in Sound it says Soundcard - FreeBSD Audio Driver (new pcm) and then "installed devices": pcm0: <SiS> at io OxdcOO irq 11 bufsz 16384 kld snd_ich (1p/1r/4v channels duplex default)

You need to get rid of the snd_ich FreeBSD driver (it likely conflicts with OSS). I think you should edit loader.conf, but I'm not exactly sure how it works on PC-BSD.

After that we (I had some hands on help here) also did this:

ossplay -d/dev/oss/lynxone0/pm0 /home(etcetera...to_file)

and there's sound :D
After all this though, I got talked into trying out 64studio (Debian based) because it's focused on music applications.

FreeBSD proper doesn't support it. The OSS/FreeBSD package seems to support only Lynx one, but I'm not sure it's a real limitation, or that it's not packaged for some reason. Perhaps dev will reply here, but I suggest you also write to 4front (see email adresses on web site), and ask them if support is possible..

What confused me, in the specification of Lynx L22 there is also Freebsd as supported system, but I couldn't find this card on the list of supp. cards.
