MAudio Delta 66 stopped working with oss3993c

Postby pseudoruprecht » Mon Sep 19, 2005 10:45 am

Hi,

I use the unregistered version of the drivers to test and
see if upgrades work. Well, I used to use it ;)

Starting with version 3993c, the M Audio Delta 66 stopped
working on ALL flavours of FreeBSD (4.11, 5.4-p6,6.0-BETA4; all single-kernel i386). When I come to
the last step in the setup ('Save changes & exit'), the
kernel panics ('Kernel panic while in page mode').

Is this a known problem? how could I help fix it (dumpfiles, logs etc.)?

I switched back to Linux/ALSA, but I hate it and being able
to use the card with FreeBSD would be worth the money
for a License Key, I guess. But only if it works, of course ;)

pseudo

P.S.: The card used to work with drivers <3993c, kernels didn't change since then.

OK, we've fixed the problems and thanks for reporting it. You can update the driver by running /usr/lib/oss/bin/ossupdate

Wow, thanks. I wonder what the support will be like when
I finally have my license key ;)

Really impressed
