Sun Java Desktop & oss

I'm not clear on how I get the gnome-based Sun Java Desktop to use the oss audio control device. It seems that mixer_applet2 is what's being used.

Okay...so the real problem was the volume control. Other apps seem to work pretty well, so I just whacked the volume control in the panel and replaced it with a panel reference to ossxmix. Not *quite* a perfect replacement, but it'll do.
