when i run osstest, i hear no sound, but system says OK on everything
I have no idea how to solve this problem.

Can you paste contents of /var/log/soundon.log? (Or /usr/lib/oss/log/soundon.log if the previous file does not exist).

Perhaps you are using an analog output? Try giving "audigy_digital_din=0" parameter to oss_sblive. (In Linux, this is done by adding the line "audigy_digital_din=0" to oss_sblive.conf file which is in /usr/lib/oss/conf). Also, perhaps you can paste the output of 'ossmix'?
