Logitech Z Cinema, mixer not working

Hi,

I just got a new Logitech Z Cinema 2.1 sound system with integrated usb soundcard. Sound is just perfect, osstest works too, but I cant get the mixer to work. I did the ossdevlinks and ossdetect thing, restartet oss, nothing worked.
The ossmix values are kinda weird too, since everything seems to get multiplied by 257 (current value of output.vol of my paste is 25.0).

It'd be really great if anyone of you had any ideas on how to get this working with oss. I know its working on alsa (at least more or less), but I really don't want to have to use alsa just to change my volume.

I don't know about the device, but it may be possible to use a software mixer and modify it's volume (giving some measure of control).
I thought about attaching vmix to the device and then modifying the software mixer's volume, but there's a bug which needs to be fixed first (vmix only adds input volume display to the mixer for some reason). oss_imux driver can be used to control recording volume (see manpage) and might work though.
