I have some problems running OSS v4.2 : each time i run soundon i get system freeze.
I'm running Debian Squeeze with kernel 2.6.32-3-amd64 and previously used ALSA.
I have the following hardware :
- Code: Select all
# lspci|grep Audio
00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 5 Series/3400 Series Chipset High Definition Audio (rev 05)
01:00.1 Audio device: ATI Technologies Inc HD48x0 audio
Here is my /var/log/soundon.log :
- Code: Select all

My ossdetect -vvv...
Just modprobing oss_hdaudio is causing immediate and total system freeze.
I hoped that this thread could've helped me, but I hg cloned the last rev (905)... built it... runned make install and at the soundon, everything freeze.
I don't have much information in my dmesg as far as OSS is concerned.
Can someone help me please?
Thanks in advance.
