Hi,
I own a lenovo IdeaPad S10 (Netbook) with Intel HD Audio build in. I'm using (gentoo) linux an installed OSS4 from it (first the newest stable version, than a mercurial checkout. Both have the same issues:
There's some kind of noise on the speekers. It reminds me on raindrops falling on a riffle-roof (I don't know if this is the right word, sorry). It seems to be absolutly unaffected from mixer sliders. Only muting the jack(s) stops it (but after unmuting it's back again).
Another issue is that, when I plug headphones in, the internal speakers don't mute. In the mixer the speakers are shown as jack.int-purple and the headphones as jack.green.mode. Muting the speakers manually works.
There are also some other, smaller issues but I can ignore them couse they rely on mixer settings (and maybe I'm just doing somethin wrong in the mixer).

//EDIT: Just forgotten: The noise is always there. So I don't think it's indicated by an application. Also under Also was no noise.

P.S. Sorry for my ba english. :)

//EDIT²: The noise is away! I muted all I don't need and stopped oss: It was still there. Then I rebootet (after updating from lstest stable to the live copy I only restarted oss) and when the power was going down the noise was away and didn't come back. :)
