Maybe that question will sound a little stupid but : After searching through distributions' wiki and the Internet, I can't find how to get my integrated microphone to work. I found a few thread from here, which seems logical, but that led me nowhere.
I have a MSI GT663 with an intel HDA sound card. I'm running under Arch Linux using oss 4.2 build 2004.
Thanks for your help.

Problem was solved by some unmuting, balancing and using another interface.
