Trying to get HDMI audio out from an nVidia 460GTX?

Postby amackenzie » Sun Jul 17, 2011 9:26 am

Hello,

I was wondering if there was any way to do this --- I haven't been able to get OSS4 to pick up the sound device (I'm not sure what the driver would be...)

The following line represents the device from lspci:

Code: Select all
01:00.1 Audio device: nVidia Corporation Device 0beb (rev a1)

Has anyone had any success with this? Is there any other information that may help?

Perhaps, you are out of luck.
Code: Select all
$ sudo ossdetect -v

You may try it with Arch LiveCD viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3933#p17316
