CS4280 IRQ Problem

Postby Insultant » Fri Aug 19, 2005 1:35 am

I'm getting these messages in Solaris Express 7/05:

Aug 18 22:21:54 riemann oss: [ID 204793 kern.notice] The OSS core module is currently locked in memory.
Aug 18 22:22:15 riemann oss: [ID 251042 kern.notice] OSS: Can't handle high level interrupts
Aug 18 22:22:15 riemann oss: [ID 774000 kern.notice] CS4280: Can't allocate IRQ9

`sndconf' after bootup shoots the system load up to 1.00 and stays there.

When I try to play something in `xmms' using the OSS device, xmms is unable to play, and when I switch over to the Solaris audio plugin, the system hangs and reboots.

I've also tried using IRQ 7 -- same result. Help would be appreciated.

Try to disable PnP in the BIOS. See if this helps.
