How to install OSS without remove the native Sun audio ?

Hi all,

I'm considering to install OSS on my Sol 10x86 machine to use Rosegarden, but it's known that the automatic OSS installation procedure will remove the native Sun audio system, I.e. the the pci-audio device builded by the OS installation. For this reason it's impossible to save it somewhere before to install OSS.

However i readed that any procedure exists, to install OSS saving the native Sun audio driver, but this way seems only reachable after launching OSS-install ...

My questions are :

1) Is it possible to have both OSS and Sun audio on the same Sol 10 OS, and to use the one or the other as i like ?

2) What is the exact command to launch OSS-install without broking, and saving Sun audio ?

- All solved recreating /dev/sound with links to audio0 and ioctl00 : great !

Thank's to the moderator.

But new problem :

Launching ossmplay, it complains about missing GVS patch (acpiano.pat and others) :
Where can i find this patch ?
