ALi M5451 doesn't work

Postby abad » Mon Dec 26, 2005 11:48 pm

Hello,

I could find similar problems below, but there was no answer. If I could get any good advice, that'll be really appreciate. But If I could have a line "it's impossible" or "not supported yet", that also would be great help for me too!

I'm using Solaris 10 1/06 on Duron notebook with ALi M5451 audio chip, dual-booting with windows XP. I disabled PnP option in BIOS (It's pheonix BIOS).

I tried both ISA/PCI and PCI only version. PCI only version took the whole system away. Here is my soundon.log.

Regards.

Hi,

Please get the upcoming version at:

http://www.4front-tech.com/test

Be sure to uninstlal the current version by typing /usr/lib/oss/scripts/uninstall.sh and reboot.

The new version is a pkg format - so just type pkgadd -d oss-4.0-i386.pkg
