oss with realtek alc 882 on freebsd 6.1-release

I have installed your program OSS and did an autodetect in soundconf.
It autodetected as Intel ICH2, when I ran a test the audio played however it sounded all choppy. When I went to save configuration it was asking me about IRQ and I/O something. I have tried to play with these options but am receiving an error whenever using ./soundon

The error is as follows:
oss: Probing the hardware for MPU-401 (UART) failed.
Warning: Some of the devices failed to initialize.

Can someone please help me? Trying to get the sound to work in KDE on FreeBSD 6.1-release

I was browsing through other posts in here and had found a link to the following file:

oss-freebsd-v4.0rc2-173-i386.tbz

I pkg_add'ed this file after removing the other oss I had downloaded, and when running osstest, everything seemed fine! I heard the sound and it wasn't choppy. However, I have run startx and loaded up KDE and cannot get any music to play. I have tried changing the hardware settings in KDE to use Open Sound or whatever and it still will not produce any sound.

Any ideas?

Have also tried the post on setting up KDE in freebsd to use OSS, these settings still did not work.

Initially I receive the following error when running SOUNDON, however OSSTEST works.
