Scratchy noise sometimes atfter a sound is played

Postby deansalv » Sun Feb 18, 2007 7:23 pm

Hello;
I installed the latest 0rc9 version and found the java desktop sound fix was implemented. Thanks for that!
I do get a loud burst of static at the end of a sound played once and a while. It happens everytime logging in when the intro sound it played and sometimes when moving windows when sounds is being played like from realplayer.

I have an E-450 running solaris 10 with and audigy 4 sound card.

just wanted to report this. Everything works fine otherwise.

Thank again for a great application.

Can you tell me what application you are using to play audio?. What kind of audio file is this?. if it's a wav or au file do you get similar static when using ossplay?

The scratchy sound is found when using the Java Desktop with event sounds enabled.

Good question.

Hi,

We have finally tracked down the problem with SB Audigy on Solaris. The problem was that audio was being set to AC3 mode before the audio device was closed. This is now fixed up in the latest build 1012.
