Kernel-Panic FreeBSD-6.2-STABLE

Postby Tulkas » Sat May 05, 2007 2:44 pm

Hi,
today I tried oss-freebsd-v4.0-1002-i386. The installation was quite easy. I deactivated the system-sound-driver and rebooted. But after KDE (3.5.6) startet up, I got a kernel-panik. My System is a FreeBSD-STABLE i386 from 17. Feb. 2007. It runs rock-solid until I installed the oss-driver.
After that I tried different things:
1. deactivate kdm and test oss on console. There i got no kernel-panic, but perhaps i didn't test it long enough.
2. start kde again and take the recommended configuration out of this forum.

But after 5-10 min again a kernel-panic occurs. I have no clue why.

Can anybody help?
Please give me hints, if i forgot some logs/messages. Unfortunaly i didn't write the kernel-panic-message down.
