Realtek ALC861-VD

Postby cjpembo » Thu Jun 05, 2008 2:57 pm

I'm trying to get a Realtek ALC861-VD sound card working in OpenSolaris 2008.05.

I installed the latest oss drivers and no luck.

Is this chip supported?

osstest never produced any sound.
I messed with ossxmix with no luck.
I relinked /dev/dsp to other pcmX's with no luck.
The laptop has only a mic and headphone jacks and internal speakers.

I noticed that ossinfo lists a ALC862 codec. This laptop has ACL861VD. Same thing?

Hi,

Can you print the output of ossmix - perhaps one of the controls turn on the speakers or send audio to the headphone out.
