Need USB Audio Solution for Solaris9 (Sparc)

Postby winderjj » Fri Jul 25, 2008 3:33 pm

Hi,

I need to hook up a USB audio device with line in and audio out capabilities to a Sun Server running Solaris 9.

Could someone point me to the best device that is supported by oss?

I see that the Sounds Blaster MP3+ is supported but it seems to be end of life. Is the newer version of this device suppored by oss?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks.

I see that a Logitech USB headset is also on the list. A headset solution would be good.

Are there any specific models that work?

thanks

USB only works on Solaris 10 or Solaris 11.

However it should be possible to support USB on Solaris 9 if someone from the community has the inclination to modify the drivers since the source code is available.

ok, thank you very much for your reply.

I was under the impression that some USB device's were supported but I suppose the list meant that some version of Solaris supports these devices.
